Review
Sigma is a stationary backline support unit used primarily for her Deployment Point (DP) generation. She also comes with a mapwide Role Advantage/ Disadvantage buffs and her ultimate summons a squishy mech frontline unit.
In PVE, Sigma sees period use in content that warrants DP generation (i.e. 16-man content). Compared to Lin Xien, the other DP generation unit, Sigma is relatively safer as a stationary tower but generates DP at a slower rate. In situations where Lin Xien cannot be used (e.g. impossible to keep her alive, heavy mapwide Counter debuffs), Sigma represents the next best alternative.
In PVP, Sigma sees infrequent play as a “camping” unit. Sigma is played at the ship at the start of the match with the intention of securing a positional advantage for her team. Compared to other methods of “camping”, using Sigma comes with higher upfront costs and risks, but her DP generation gives her a significant advantage the longer the game drags on.
