Mechty is an offensive Corrosion support unit, used exclusively alongside other Corrosion damage dealers as a specialized damage amplifier. Mechty does this by empowering teammates with buffs, and crippling enemies with potent debuffs. Notably, these include:
Toxic Mist: Mechty’s unique Toxic Mist mechanic places down elemental tiles that inflict severe debuffs to enemy targets standing on them.
Corrosion weakness: Toxic Mist applies Corrosion weakness to affected enemies, a multiplicative 10% overall damage increase that greatly boosts damage by virtue of being multiplicative against all other buff categories. In effect, Mechty makes every situation a Corrosion-favored situation.
Stability loss: Mechty grants the team significant stability shred by way of her Stability Loss debuff and her Corrosion weakness debuff, applied through her Toxic Mist. Notably, Corrosion weakness not only increases Corrosion damage taken but also adds a flat +2 Stability damage to all incoming Corrosion attacks.
Assorted team-wide +DMG% buffs: Mechty’s abundance of +DMG% buffs provides a welcome boost to team-wide damage output.
Fixed Keys core to Mechty’s function are:
02-03 - Rest Thee Well: Gives Mechty easy access to her Toxin Inundation enemy debuff for a sizable +25% Corrosion DMG received, which would otherwise only be accessible through her Ultimate Skill. Notably, Mechty enables this herself through the Corrosion weakness she applies via her Toxic Mist tiles.
04-03 - Quickly, So We Can Sleep: Skill 2 now generates Toxic Mist tiles, giving Mechty an additional method to apply Toxic Mist for all the damage amplifying effects it provides.
Fixed Keys of situational relevance that supplement Mechty’s core function:
04-01 - Horror Movie Night: Skill 1 now applies a potent 2 turn Acid Corrosion II debuff (-30% DEF) on large targets, which can greatly improve teamwide damage output in bossing scenarios. It is worth noting that Acid Corrosion does not stack with the standard -DEF% debuffs, meaning one will override the other. This interaction comes up with Klukai(V3)’s Defence Down II.
06-01 - Loser’s Spirit: Cleanse is needed to bypass certain boss mechanics (e.g., Deichgraf DEF buff). Mechty’s basic attack applies a 2-buff dispel, making it one of the easiest ways to remove buffs from enemies.
As of writing, Mechty does not have a Mod/Expansion Key.
Mechty is an offensive Corrosion support played exclusively alongside other Corrosion damage dealers as a specialized damage amplifier for the element. Her kit offers little in the way of utility, and even less in the way of damage. Mechty has great value within her niche, but her value outside of her niche as a Corrosion damage amplifier is relatively minimal.
To briefly comment on Mechty’s Turbo Mode - Patch Mode states, Mechty’s rotation typically begins in Turbo Mode with an Ultimate on Turn 1, followed by a Skill 2 and either a basic attack or Skill 2 on Turn 2. During Turbo mode, Mechty can consistently use Skill 2 to maintain full up-time on her AOE damage buff.
Mechty is primarily used as a damage amplifier for the Peritya-Klukai(V6) pairing. She significantly boosts Peritya’s damage output by converting Peritya’s Physical damage Action Support attacks into Corrosion damage, which are then amplified by Mechty’s teamwide elemental buffs and debuffs.
It is worth noting that Mechty is more a Peritya buffer than a Klukai buffer. Peritya gains disproportionately more from Mechty than Klukai. Mechty is always played with Peritya, and Pertiya is only ever played with Klukai(V6). Klukai(V6) is frequently played in teams’ flex slot for the significant bump in damage she provides, but Klukai(V6)-Mechty is not so strong that teams would also want to reserve space for Mechty.
SSR characters are typically reviewed at V0/V1 strength. However, for especially dedicated players, it is worth noting Mechty’s significant dupe powerspikes are at:
N/A: Mechty’s performance gains from her dupes are minimal, so players do not need to feel obligated to pull for extra copies.
Specialized elemental offensive support for Corrosion damage dealers
Corrosion weakness, applied via Toxic Mist tiles, is a whopping 10% multiplicative overall damage increase
Significant Stability shred potential Corrosion weakness + Peritya’s 6 Action Supports (now converted to Corrosion damage)
Mechty’s value is almost entirely tied to her utility within the specific Peritya-Klukai(V6) pairing, which itself is limited to Gunsmoke. Mechty sees limited use outside of Gunsmoke, where her damage amplification is often excessive for other content.
Mechty’s drops considerably against targets with innate Corrosion weakness. In situations where the target is already weak to Corrosion, Mechty may find herself benched for some other damage amplifier.
