Introduction

Rabies is a 4✦ rarity character from the Plant afflatus who deals Reality damage and belongs to the Damage class.

Rabies is a niche Poison Carry who mixes a bit of damage with a decent application of Poison. He can be useful as a sub-DPS in Poison teams such as Jessica's, but he lacks any proper niche outside of that to be considered for any role on a standard team.

Review

While he is an interesting-looking character with access to poison, his lack of any other effects, aside from damage increases, makes Rabies a character that will fall off heavily in the late game, much like other low rarity DPS.

None of his skills or his ultimate provide any additional effects, except for penetration or dealing more damage if certain conditions are met. Unlike fellow low-rarity DPS characters like Mondlicht, who can generally support the team with her Reality DEF shred, he doesn't really have any sort of utility. At most, Rabies provides good damage in the early game, okay damage in the late game, and applies Poison from time to time.

He's a budget option to use in the Poison team if you don't have other characters to fill in.

Pros & Cons

Pros

Decent damage output in the early game, and fairly cheap to invest in.
He has access to [Poison], which can help if you’re running a team with that as a theme.

Cons

Rabies does not offer any utility or support effects to the team beyond his own damage and poison application.
As a low-rarity DPS character without utility, Rabies is likely to become less effective as the game progresses, as his damage won’t be able to match higher rarity DPS. Which is bad when Rabies's skills and ultimate primarily focus on dealing damage and without offering any additional effects or team utility.
