Should You Pull? (TLDR)
If you’re running the Bloodtithe archetype, you will want her as she’s the best healer for the archetype. Rubuska is finally the first to really hone in on the HP Loss mechanic. She has a slew of buffs scaling with lost HP, is able to prevent allies from dying and can superbuff one ally with her Ultimate. As far as her defensive power goes she can heal a fair bit, though her output scales inversely with allied HP, which is a scenario you don't want to be in UNLESS you're playing Bloodtithe. Long story short, she's fantastic (matching Fatutu) in her archetype specifically.
Review
The Bloodtithe archetype focuses on consuming HP and healing to generate it back. Rubuska is a healer for this archetype who specializes in the HP loss mechanic. She can grant [Shadow Friend] at the start of battle thanks to her Insight I, which decreases the health of all allies by 10 percent at the start of every round. Rubuska can then convert 70 percent of this lost HP into [Shadow Cloak] points. Each point increases your Max HP by 1, and every 200 or 300 points also increases your Crit Damage and Ultimate Might by 1 percent.
It’s not difficult to build up these points since both of her skills contribute. One of her skills is a mass heal, and she can also heal after an ally attacks, thanks to her passive, which automatically heals the entire team. This makes the Bloodtithe team very stable despite its core mechanic revolving around draining HP for buffs. That is not even all, because thanks to the Grace of Rubuska, which is already active from her Insight III when you enter battle, she can literally save an ally from death once. Thanks to this and her strong healing, she is essentially the safety net of the entire team while still contributing significantly.
Her Ultimate, “Victory Belongs to ‘Rubuska the First’”, uses all the Shadow Cloak stacks from the rest of the team and channels them into a single target, greatly buffing that character. In a typical Bloodtithe team, the usual choice would be someone like Nautika. It also heals all allies once again.
Rubuska is a straightforward unit if you already understand how Bloodtithe teams work. She is the passive support for the whole team. Once she is in battle, she is already doing her job. She drains HP from allies, builds Shadow Cloaks for buffs, keeps the team alive, and her ultimate enables strong burst damage.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Passive healing is perfect for a Bloodtithe team and she is the best healer for a Bloodtithe team.
- Very low AP demand and can prevent allies from dying once.
- She contributes steady Shadow Cloak stacking that boosts both survivability and damage for the whole team.
- Provides strong burst support when her ultimate is paired with the right damage dealer.
Cons
- Her buffs need a few turns to build up.
Portrays
She is strong without needing her Portrays, though her portrays are good, just grabbing her first can help improve Shadow Feast and DMG.
Great Synergies
Any Bloodtithe team members
- Nautika: Causes HP level to bounce frequently. Rubuska can directly help with healing and revive mechanics; her ultimate and [Higge] buffs work with Rubuska’s healing and Bloodtithe generation, Rubuska can help her maximize her Ultimate damage.
- Semmelweis: Causes HP level to bounce frequently. Rubuska can directly help with healing and revive mechanics; her Bloodtithe generation amplifies Semmelweis’ Array damage.
- Sentinel: Amplifies damage and benefits from Rubuska’s consistent Bloodtithe generation for high-damage cycles.
Psychubes

- The Wandering Improviser is the best Psychube for her, you get a healing bonus, and when an ally receives damage, it will increase DMG might. Fitting very well with how her kit works.

TEAM EXPLANATION
- 4th slot options: Rubuska
- Undeniably intensely powerful, the Bloodtithe team is something both safe and risky. Nautika and Semmelweis cause HP levels to bounce frequently, leveled out by Rubuska's healing, revive mechanics and Nautika's [Higge] and defensive buffs. It generates Bloodtithe quickly, allowing for 2 round "Divine Yoik" cycles that deal an absolutely ungodly amount of damage while under Semmelweis' Array and through Sentinel's powerful amping and consistent [Bloodtithe] generation. Flutterpage and Melania(E) can sometimes be used in place for Sentinel whereas Rubuska can be swapped out for Fatutu and Medicine Pocket(E) if needed.
