Foreword
Spending money in gacha games is tricky, and if you’re unsure whether you want to spend at all, you might be better off waiting until you are sure. But if you’re ready to spend some money, this guide covers the most worthwhile packs for light spenders.
Resonance Solstice is a game that focuses more on trading than combat and the gacha aspect, so before spending anything or buying yet another pack, just ask yourself if you really need it and most importantly, if you can afford it.
Monthly Card

We would say that in most gacha games, the monthly card is the pack with the most value, since it provides premium currency and (depending on the game) extra resources to grind more.
The same applies to Resonance Solstice, where the monthly card (Chaos Stone Tree Incubator) provides a lot of resources and Quality of Life upgrades:
- Instantly get 300 Chaos Stones.
- Daily 90 Chaos Stones.
- Daily extra Energy and Sanity items.
- Two extra free Towing calls, while also having +30 KM/H on any towing trip.
- One extra daily Thumbs Up.
Battle Passes

A great mix of resources, gacha pulls, and you can also get skins for a good price. Battle passes in Resonance are pretty good value, but we would only recommend getting the base copy, since the more expensive version only includes extra cosmetics for the main character and 10 instant levels on the BP track.
You can buy a lot of cosmetics with in-game currency for your character, hence why we don’t think the extra money is worth it, but of course, if you like them, go for it, as it’s personal preference more than anything.
Quality of Life

If you have checked our Train Management guide, you know there are plenty of upgrades you can have on your train to make it faster, able to ram through enemies or carry more passengers, among other things
But one of the best upgrades for the train is sadly paid only, the Support Drone Pack. This item allows automatic pickup of all items while you are going from one station to the other.
Most people stop picking them up manually since it becomes bothersome after the first couple of days when the novelty wears off, so I would recommend 100% getting this if you are planning on spending money on Resonance Solstice.
Skins

This is the best way of supporting the developers without having any RNG added to the price. Most skins include L2D backgrounds for your lobby; always make sure to preview them before buying. The best thing about skins in Resonance Solstice is that they also include some premium currency when you get them.
SSR Selector

This pack is already going outside Light Spender’s territory, but it’s great since you can guarantee starting with 2 SSR characters instead of leaving everything to the RNG gods.
If you decide to buy this pack, please save it until the third day, since you will also get one free SSR selector! Use our Reroll Guide to see our recommendations for all the units included in both the paid and free SSR selectors.
Train Skins

The last packs we want to recommend are Train Skins, which can be honestly considered whaling rather than light spending. Not only because they are cool cosmetics, but also because the stats they give are active even when the Skin is not equipped. While this makes the Train Skins kinda P2W, they are not mandatory to enjoy the game at all.
Out of these, Photon Infinite and Bustling Business are more universal in usage as more Speed is always welcome, whether you just want to do Combat, do Trading or ferry passengers. After which, it will depend on your choice of gameplay between Trading (Wave Robot Numbers, The Embers) and Passenger Ferry (Night Chains Express).
Note
The rest of the packs in the shop go outside what’s considered “light spender”, so it really depends on your budget and if you are looking for pulls or resources. Feel free to join our Discord if you have questions about any pack in the shop (or questions about Resonance Solstice in general).
