Review
Releasing at the tailwind of the 6 months celebration, Thomas is a monster Light DPS capable of insane damage and focused on team battles like PoD and Guild Boss.
Powerful Attacker.
Works with different sets compared to usual DPS, leading to less competition for gear.
Actual real beloved Male Character from the Manhwa instead of being an Original Character.
You won't be as manly as he is, leading to confidence issues.
You might see diminishing values as a Dolphin if you have a highly invested Cha.
Thomas is a Light Fighter that specializes in two things: dealing massive amounts of damage and being manly.
His kit revolves around Shields, granting him extra tankiness while also empowering his damage - more about it later!
Excluding his Basic Attack, rest of his skills are pretty similar in nature and simple to understand: they deal damage and grant him a [Shield] while using the skill based on 2% of his defense.
Things change when Thomas uses his Ultimate, Ruler's Judgment: he will transform in his Goliath form and apply the [Steel Tyrant] effect to himself.
When in this form, his two skills, Absolute Demolition and Colossal Crush, gain a 100% Damage Increase and the Shield effect is maintained for 10 seconds. He also grants himself a 20% Damage Reduction, a 20% Defense Increase and also gains a Shield based on 10% of his total defense. Lastly, his Ultimate changes to Black Hole Crash when in this form.
Black Hole Crash is Thomas Ultimate in his Goliath form and will gain a 2% damage bonus for every 1000 points of [Shield] on himself, for up to 20% extra damage. It will also consume all Shield’s on Thomas and remove the [Overwhelming Power] effect from himself.
Talking about his Passive Skills, Thomas grants himself the [Overwhelming Power] buff we just discussed above, whenever he uses his two Skills or his Core Attack. This buff can stack up to 5 times and once at max stacks, Thomas will be able to use his Ultimate, Ruler's Judgment (similar to how Charlotte can charge her Ultimate). For every stack of this buff, Thomas gets 10% defense and a 2% buff to his Shield acquisition.
At A1, Thomas will obtain a stack of [Overwhelming Power] whenever he obtains a shield.
At A2, his Shield acquisition chance is increased by an extra 8%. When a Shield is active, he has an extra 10% Critical Rate and Damage.
At A3, he obtains the [Overgrowth] effect when obtaining a Shield (with a 0.5 second cooldown). If Thomas is in his [Steel Tyrant] form, [Overgrowth] is also triggered when the last hit of his Skill 2 hits.
[Overgrowth] consumes his Shield dealing damage in an area around him based on how much Shield he consumes, similar to his Ultimate ability. This vastly increases his damage.
At A4 he gains a 16% defense bonus (Fun Fact: this is the highest stat based buff on an ascension so far).
At A5 he gains a massive 125% Damage Increase on his transformed Ultimate Black Hole Crash, achieving disgusting levels of damage.
Thomas' weapon, The True King, is simple but powerful: it boosts his defense and also increases his Shield acquisition chance by a significant amount. If you plan to make Thomas the star of your team you absolutely want to invest in this sick pair of Glasses.
When it comes to Gear, Thomas is a defense scaling character meaning he doesn't get access to the standard Burning Curse + Expert Set option.
On the left side, you can run the Curse Set, the Warmonger Set and the Guardian Set. Curse and Warmonger are powerful options during normal gameplay and PoD, while Guardian set can be very powerful in the Guild Boss - and even earlier if you lack access to the Burning Sets when starting out.
On the right side, Thomas makes great use of the recently buffed Obsidian Set, as its effect, [Outstanding Ability] grants up to 60% extra damage as long as Thomas is above 40% MP, which is very easy to maintain! Other options include Executioner and Berserker, offering a similar damage boost with different conditions.
Thomas is a Light DPS, meaning he pairs super well with the already established Light team with Go Gunhee and Min, replacing Cha in this setup. When it comes to Guild Boss he will be a powerhouse worth slotting, but it's a bit early to discuss how much he'll be shaking the currently established teams. He will shine also in Power of Destruction due to his insane 24% damage bonus in teamfights, making him a cornerstone of your account
Short answer: Yes.
Long answer: Thomas brings a lot of damage to the table, enough to potentially replace Cha. While, she will remain the best option for shorter and more burst oriented fights like BoT but as you gain more dupes on Thomas he will become strong enough to replace our dancer. This also opens the option of running two super powerful Light DPS in PoD - especially after the recent Baek buff granting him even more Defense Reduction - for more specialized team comps.
For F2P: You will really want to go for A3 Thomas, since the addition of [Overgrowth] almost doubles his actual damage.
For Dolphins and Whales alike: Get him to A5 and beyond if you want/can. You won't be disappointed by this Goliath.
Thomas Andre rating takes into account their performance in all matter of PVE content.

Thomas Andre can be equipped with the Burning Curse set that you can obtain from the Workshop of Brilliant Light. As a Damage Dealer, Thomas Andre can make use of the set and in most cases, it will perform better than the normal sets (2 piece is minimum, but you want all 8).
Those are the stats you should focus on when building Thomas Andre. So search for them on your sub-stats as a priority.

Critical Hit Damage
For SSR characters, you always want to use their Signature/EX Weapon - they are simply the best for them. Until you obtain the signature weapon, just use the options listed below. The priority is set from left to right. Also, If you have a Signature/EX weapon for a Hunter that is not in your team you can consider using it for the raw stats alone - as long as it matches the character.
