Transcendence is a new system introduced in the anniversary patch in KR/JPN. It increases the level cap from 125 and every 5 levels you will unlock a new passive. Big thanks to alicanli09 who gathered the information, translated it and shared it with us.
Living his best school life and hoping to become the Student Council King, S1 Asta is a powerful attacker that specializes in killing bosses.
His skill 1 is a single target attack that grants a stackable 2% [Increased DMG Dealt] buff. Also, if a [Buff] is present, there is a 50% chance to deal an [Extra Attack] equal to 70% of Asta's ATK. His skill 2 is another single target attack, that will give Asta a [Increased ATK] buff before hitting. He also has a 80% chance to give himself a 20% [Increased Mobility] buff, 30% if you have his skill page.
His special skill grants an [Extra Turn] when attacking a target at 80% HP or above, and also grants a 30% [Increased DMG Dealt] buff when facing a boss. His Combined attack allows Asta to attack after removing the enemy's barrier. Lastly, his LR passive grants Asta a 4% [Increased ATK] buff at the start of each turn, stacking up to 3 times.
There's not much to say about Asta, he is an incredible boss killer that has great synergy with units that can setup massive debuffs, as he can attack two times between his Special attack and Skill 2. He pairs extremely well with Charlotte for example, considering you can setup her [Mark] on turn 1 and use her Combined attack on turn 2 to let Asta go ham.
For regular PvE he is out shined by other options but he remains a very comfortable characters for players that managed to get him. However, at the current stage of KR meta, he's not worth using a seasonal ticket on.
At E2, Asta gains a 12% [Increased DMG Dealt] for 2 turns at the start of a wave, a great buff for when you can't setup proper nuke windows like in PvP. At E5 he also gains 1 turn of [Status Aliment immunity] at the start of the combat, ensuring you can't stun or stop Asta.
Asta skill page grants him a 10% extra mobility when using his Skill 2. The passive skill grants a 12/24% [Increased CRIT DAMAGE] to the character wearing the card.
Considering how crucial those first 2 turns, the 10% extra mobility on his skill 2 is not that relevant unless you are just starting out and can't kill a boss with his Special skill followed by Skill 2 - in that case, the extra mobility can help Asta get a final Skill 1 in to hopefully kill the enemy! The Crit Damage buff is obviously nice, but early on it's very difficult to achieve a reliable crit rate %, so you can replace the skill card with a generic attacker card like Breath of Darkness, Leo's skill page or Breath of Fire to double up on the boss killing niche.
Asta main usage in PvP is nuking an enemy with his Special Skill and follow up with his Skill 2 to either finish off the enemy or jump on a different target. Unless you are hitting a green enemy, Julius can do the same thing but better, so you probably won't get much mileage out of Asta. If you do want to run him, you can pair him with Finral/William, Halloween Noelle and either a secondary carry or a more defensive unit, but considering he is quite frail he might not survive if the opponent has units that gain immortality below 30% HP.
