Transcendence is a new system introduced in the anniversary patch in KR/JPN. It increases the level cap from 125 and every 5 levels you will unlock a new passive. Big thanks to alicanli09 who gathered the information, translated it and shared it with us.
Summer Gauche is a support introduced in the Season 2 banner and has two main jobs: spooking your rolls and buffing your main damage dealer/allies and admittedly, he does a very good job at both. He can also take care of instances of continuous damage for your allies, but as this mechanic isn't really relevant we'll be mostly focusing on his buffing capabilities because Gauche actually brings a lot to the table.
His Skill 2 is his bread and butter and can provide a very significant All atk boost to one ally for two turns, while also buffing their penetration rate by 40%. Yes, that's a lot of offensive firepower and it doesn't end here - this will grand the ally the 'Intense Sunlight' buff that can stack up to 3 times, each stack giving an irremovable 10% damage dealt buff at skill level 5. His special skill will sacrifice 10% of his HP to provide a 30% damage reduction buff for 2 turns (up to 40% at max level) while also buffing your team accuracy by 32%. Lastly, his skill 1 will grant a weapon enhancement buff to your teammates above 80% HP.
While Gauche would love to spend most of his time with his sister, he actually spends a lot of time surprisingly with Rhya (and Kiato), due to the significant number of powerful damage buffs he can provide to a specific teammate.
That being said, he is not a mandatory character considering we have other strong team buffers (including Gifso) that can provide more team-focused buffs at the cost of a lower number of buffs, but if you get him and decide to build him you won't be dissatisfied.
Summer Gauche dupes will allow him to give a sunlight stack to a random ally when using his S2 (and with his special skill as well if you somehow take him up to E5). This will allow you to stack your sunlight stacks much faster, but it's not really worth chasing, considering the extra stack is not even guaranteed to go to the carry you are using your skill 2 on.
His skill card buffs his skill 1, meaning it's not really doing much for Gauche as he is more focused on his skill 2 and special. As mentioned, we don't really have to focus on continuous damage so his passive ability is also not very desirable. You'd be better off using Sally card if you have it, to provide even more damage to your carry.
Gauche does not like to visit the pvp arena much, as he would not like Marle to see his big brother humiliated without contributing much to the team. He tries his best and we appreciate him for what he does. There are better options for mono-blue teams as well.
