Transcendence is a new system introduced in the anniversary patch in KR/JPN. It increases the level cap from 125 and every 5 levels you will unlock a new passive. Big thanks to alicanli09 who gathered the information, translated it and shared it with us.
Celebrating the...summer season? we have Vanessa, enjoying the seaside here at the beginning of Spring.
Her skill 1 inflicts [Bleed] on the target for 2 turns. Her skill 2 grants herself the [Blessing of Protection] for 2 turns, granting her 8% of her max HP as recovery when blocking a hit. If you also have her skill page, she will grant herself [Debuff Immunity] for 2 turns.
Her Special attack hits all enemies with a 50% of inflicting them with Silence. Lastly, her Combined attack deals 30% [Increased DMG] when hitting an enemy inflicted with a debuff.
The most important part of her kit - and reason for her relevance in the meta - is her LR passive, granting [Protection] to the ally with the lowest SPD for 2 turn. Protection is a very crucial buff, making the target ally unable to be selected as a target of an attack. Considering she doesn't need to add for this effect to proc, it's an amazing tool to ensure slower attackers can get a chance to go wild before being defeated and the reason why she is such a valuable unit to have, especially with RTA in mind.
There is not much more to say about Vanessa, as her main advantage is the protection she provides to her lowest SPD teammate, meaning her value is directly tied to the power of the unit she is protecting.
If her DMG Resist is equal to 205 or higher, she grants herself 3% [Increased DMG Dealt]. If it's over 270, the buff changes to 5%. Lastly, if the DMG resist exceeds 310 she will grant herself 10% [Increased DMG Dealt]. While free stats are always nice, you are not running Vanessa for her damage.
Her own skill page, Beach Prank, grants Vanessa a 15/30% [Increased MATK] buff for 1 turn when she is blocking an attack, while also adding [Debuff Immunity] for 2 turns to her skill 2. It's best to run the Mysteriously Glowing Orb on Vanessa instead, provided global gets it with the event, as it grants her a significant DMG Res buff while also granting her 20/100% chance to inflict taunt on the enemy for 1 turn if they are inflicted with a debuff. So not only Vanessa will protect her ally, but she can also inflict Taunt on the enemy cementing her role as a valuable support.
If it was not clear until now, Swimsuit Vanessa is a PvP focused unit that can protect slow - but powerful - allies so that they can unleash chaos in PvP. She really shines in real time PvP, where she can restrict a lot the options of the enemy - however, make sure to keep the speed of your units in mind when building teams with Vanessa, so that you can ensure Protection goes to the correct target.
