Transcendence is a new system introduced in the anniversary patch in KR/JPN. It increases the level cap from 125 and every 5 levels you will unlock a new passive. Big thanks to alicanli09 who gathered the information, translated it and shared it with us.
Our happy tree friend, William is one of the most lasting units in the game, thanks to his speed and buffing capacities.
His Skill 1 has a 40% chance of inflicting [Transformation] on a single target, causing them to lose a turn.
His skill 2 grants [Increased ATK] and [Increased SPD] to a unit for 2 turns, with a 60/100% of granting an ally 10/20% [Increased Mobility] when their mobility is equal or lower than 50%. If you have his Skill Card, you can also grant the target 1 turn of [Status Immunity].
William's Special Skill will hit all enemies and grant all allies a [Fortify] buff for 2 turns. It will also grant the ally with the highest atk a [Counterattack buff] for 1 turn. This can be EXTREMELY annoying in PvP, especially when the target is a unit with a strong Skill 1 hitting all enemies or has a skill that can increase the team's mobility like Julius. With his LR passive, William adds a 5% [fortify] buff for his allies when using his Special attack.
His combined attack will grant William and his ally a whopping 40% [DEF PEN] buff before hitting. At first glance, William may look like an average buffer giving a few powerful buffs to a single ally. And while that's true, William has a very significant claim to fame - he is the fastest unit in the game, paired with S5 charlotte, as long as he is at E5.
William is also one of the release standard pool units, meaning you can obtain his dupes for free by selecting his shards from the level 4 world reputation chest. Every player can - and should - work towards this goal, since it expands the list of items available for purchase in the regional shops while enabling William's potential.
Knowing when to use William skills is probably the most important part of his kit: his skill 1 can be used when trying to disable a specific enemy to save other crowd control skills like stuns, his skill 2 needs to be used on an enemy below 50% mobility for best efficiency and his special skill is incredible when the enemy has a few consecutive turns and is using units with area attacks. Last but not least, his combined attack opens a lot of plays to nuke priority targets (like when paired with Julius) or setup devastating plays (like with Mereleona, as she inflicts [Burn] on all enemies on combined attack).
His main drawback is that he needs his E5 to be at its peak, but considering his dupes are farmable that should not be an issue.
William has a 30% chance to receive a 10% [Increased Mobility] buff when receiving damage at E2, bumped to 50% at E5. As mentioned above, getting William to E5 bumps his speed to 126, the highest value in the game.
William skill page adds [Status Immunity] to the target of Skill 2. The passive skill is not the most impactful, granting a 6/10% [HP Recovery] to the ally with the lowest HP when using skill 2. You can use the skill page when facing a team that is focused on important debuffs like [Burn] teams, otherwise you can run a different skill page like Sally's to maximise your carry's damage
You can literally run a E5 William in every team that doesn't require a mono attribute. He is one of the most impactful PvP units and will make your arena experience much easier - or harder, since he will also be on the enemy team.
