Eva gets stronger and unlocks various utilities as she gains Stimulation Stacks (for each enemy hit) via her Passive 2:

  • Her Active and Ultimate skills deal AoE damage, inflicting Shock (40 stacks) and bonus damage when she has enough Stimulation stacks (25 and 50 stacks respectively).

  • Her Passive 1 increases her ATK and Critical Hit chance, and further increases

    • her Attack Speed (up to 25%)

    • Critical Hit Chance (once at 30 stacks)

    • ATK (once at 60 stacks)

    • Ignore Damage Reduction (Once at 80 stacks)

    • At T5, Eva gains 25% ASPD, 8% Critical Hit Rate (on top of the 12%), 32% ATK (on top of the 88%) and 15% Ignore Damage Reduction at 80 Stimulation Stacks.

  • Her Basic Attacks reduce the Cooldown on her Active skill (every 3 seconds, at 20 stacks).

  • Her Ultimate Cooldown is reset (every 20 seconds, at 80 stacks).

Eva lives and dies by her Stimulation stacks which have a massive payoff once she gets enough - big multipliers on her Ultimate (3025% at T5) and Active (800% at T5), Cooldown Reductions, and powerful self buffs.

Her Ultimate Cooldown Reset on her Passive is on a separate Cooldown timer, allowing you to temporarily hold an Ultimate for valuable buffs and double Ultimate burst windows. This gives her a ton of backloaded burst damage for Raid content. Eva is also able to retain her stacks in long fights, making her a strong wave clearer for Stonehenge (if you do not use Boss Summon Tickets).

Eva has a much smaller time window than most characters to capitalize on her powerful buffs. Without specific Global Passives, she is out of the running for shorter fights like Star Reincarnation and Avalon Wall Guild Raids. She also requires specific Ult-timing to make the most of her kit, making manual play almost mandatory. Eva’s % multipliers and Cooldown Resets also scale strongly as she gains skill levels (for example she gains over 1100% multiplier on her boosted Ultimate between T3 and T5), making T5 a strong good-to-have.

Eva’s damage, even after maximising the Ultimate rotations on her kit, is only comparable to Tiamat depending on the context. She has much higher immediate burst damage within a short time period compared to Tiamat (Tiamat’s burst damage being tied to her Ultimate and 7 to 9 Actives), but much lower sustained DPS due to her ramping requirements. This difference becomes much narrower the longer Eva is allowed to abuse her best state.

For those who already invested deeply on Tiamat and are looking to save up, Eva is a side-grade, but one that has seen slot-ins in Raids alongside Tiamat. For those who need a strong DPS for Adventure mode and missed Tiamat’s banner, Eva is a solid pickup that will need to be used with care, especially against the many Chaos-type enemies there.

Eva’s Card, Quenched at Last, is designed specifically for Eva herself. It is a strong option for her if you want to maximize her personal DPS, but not mandatory if you have other strong Wizard cards like Vivien or Merlin. The Additional DMG line also scales additively with other Additional Damage sources unlike Tiamat or Summer Merry’s Active/ Ultimate skill damage increases (which are its own separate modifiers), making it a far less powerful option as a dedicated DPS card.

Pros & Cons
Pros

  • Strong backloaded Damage.

  • Flexible sub-DPS slot in for both Wizard-Archer and Knight (Ran-Lua or just Ran) comps.

  • Has a bevy of mana transfer innuendoes and a bond(age) kink for those asking for a snu-snu update to this game.

Cons

  • Investment Heavy.

  • Wants Manual Play to maximise her kit.

Synergies
Cards
  • Quenched at Last (Eva) - MATK, Crit Chance and easy 20% Add. DMG, making it one of the stronger options for boosting her personal damage.
  • Elgrad Sword Art Journal (Lua) - Provides less Add. DMG, but replaces the MATK stat with a massive CDMG statline, which is less likely to be saturated.
  • Obsession (Vivien) - Replaces the Add. DMG with a party-wide CDMG buff. Less Personal DMG for Eva but if your party has multiple DPS it is a very solid option.
  • Water Dragon's Blessing (Merlin) - Replaces the Add. DMG statline with a party wide ATK buff.Less Personal DMG for Eva but if your party has multiple DPS it is a very solid option.
Comments

Any card with MATK%, Critical Hit Chance, Critical Damage, Additional Damage and ASPD will work.
