Timeless Aiona is the first Ancestor added to the game post-release of the game, and she instantly jumped to the top of the meta, setting a new bar for all the DPS characters. To say she's the best DPS in the game is honestly understating things - as she's not only the best, but she's also putting a big ravine between herself and others. For example, pushing 15-20% deficit was possible with other DPS characters, but with Timeless Aiona, you can even do 30% deficit with relative ease.

Now, let's go over her kit and what makes her so good.

First of all, she belongs to the same archetype as Van Helsing, so a basic attack focused Marksman. This means that she can just replace him in the current meta Marksman team that features Fleeting Bella, Accapella, and Sirene (for Bossing). Not only is her Ultimate cheaper (4 compared to Van Helsing's 6), but she also simply deals way more damage than him. So it's an easy switch.

The second thing is that her kit revolves around Shielding. Timeless Aiona can't be 'healed', because healing received is converted to a Shield. And when the Shield reaches 50%/100% of her HP in value, her Basic Attack becomes enhanced - not only will it deal more damage in pure multipliers, but also deal additional damage based on the target's Max HP (but it's capped at Timeless Aiona ATK, to balance it a little). But there's also another way for Timeless Aiona to Shield herself - and it's by simply doing damage as part of it gets converted to a Shield.

When it comes to her Ultimate, it further amplifies her performance, causing her Basic Attack to hit more often, further increasing her damage output.

Overall, her kit has a lot synergies with itself and with other characters - especially all the meta ones. This makes her the best DPS in the game currently, and it's safe to say that if you don't have her, you're playing the game on hard mode.

Pros & Cons
Pros

  • Best damage output in the game - in both AoE and Single Target scenarios,

  • Basic Attack focused, so there are a lot of meta characters to supplement the playstyle (Fleeting Bella, Sirene),

  • All her damage scaling is tied to the Basic Attack, so you can leave her other skills at a lower level and only focus on upgrading it instead - this makes her quite cheap when it comes to investment,

  • Very cheap Ultimate cost,

  • Due to how well she can keep herself alive with the damage to Shield conversion, you can even play her as an off-tank (pair her with S. Aiona behind her).

Cons

  • Honestly, there are no cons to her currently. She's that good.

Here's the explanation for all the numbers and colors used in the guide:

  • 10/5/7 means upgrading Basic to lvl 10, Special to lvl 5, and Ultimate to lvl 7,
  • Blue means the immediate investment when u get the unit (and are using them),
  • Orange means recommended investment for F2P players,
  • Red means maximum recommended investment, in order to get the best out of the unit.

More info:

  • The skill investment list below features a lot of Level 4 and 7 because they are easier to understand. Any higher levels will cost a new type of resource.
  • However, you may choose to upgrade to Level 5 if you need a stronger effect instead of 4, as the increase in Blue Manual cost from Level 4 to 5 is still low. The leap only starts from Level 6 onward.
  • There is also a leap from Level 3 to 4, so if you want to save a tiny bit of Blue Manuals, then leave at 3 instead of 4.

Priority explained:

  • Meta: Most important characters used everywhere.
  • High: Good in various PvE content.
  • Medium: Good in at least one PvE content.
  • Low: Can perform well in some PVE content, but they're niche.
  • PvP: These units are mainly used in PvP.
