Gameplay
Silver and Blood is an autobattler similar to games like AFK Journey or STARSEED: Asnia Trigger, where you deploy a team of up to five Vassals (units) and they will fight on their own. An auto-battle mode is available to automatically deploy Ultimates, but manual control is the key for tougher content.
Silver and Blood has no stamina restrictions as it is an Idle gacha game, this allows you to play as much as you want, although progression is gated by resource availability and Blood Power (BP).
Gacha System

Vassals are summoned via a gacha system using Moon Tear or tickets. The game features three rarity tiers: SSR (highest), SR, and R (lowest). It has a Pity system of 60 pulls for a guaranteed SSR and resets upon getting one. There are 3-types of banner:
- Limited Banners features rate-up units and they are usually added to the Standard Banner after the rate-up event ends.
- This banner offers a cumulative of 4% chance to gain an SSR Vassal where the rate-up vassal takes 50% of the SSR Rate(2%) for rate-up Ancestry Vassals(1%). You can use either Moon Tear or Vestige of Love to pull.
- Blue Dawn is the standard banner where you can get any unit or you can also setup your Altar (wishlist) to guarantee specific units from each faction.
- This banner uses Moon Tear or Soothing Embrace to pull, but we recommend never using gems here, only tickets.
- If you want recommendations for the Altar, check our Altar Guide linked below.
- Perennial Banner is the friendship banner and it offers a cumulative 2% chance to gain an SSR. You can earn points daily by collecting Dusk-Veiled Ribbon from the friends tab, and these point are used to pull on this banner.
- This banner offers a cumulative of 4% chance to gain an SSR Vassal where the rate-up vassal takes 50% of the SSR Rate(2%) for rate-up Ancestry Vassals(1%). You can use either Moon Tear or Vestige of Love to pull.
Getting Started with Silver and Blood
Rerolling (optional but recommended)
Rerolling involves restarting the game to get a strong SSR Vassal from your initial pulls, giving you a head start. It takes about 10-20 minutes to reach your first pull after clearing Stage 1-4. Rerolling is optional but encouraged for seasoned gacha players. If you enjoy the story or prefer collecting specific Vassals, you can skip it, but a strong SSR can make early progression smoother.
If you are a new player, I would not recommend rerolling and instead just play the game to not burn yourself too fast.
For in-depth Reroll Process and Targets, check out our dedicated guide linked below:
Progress Through the Campaign
Threads of Fate is the main story and your primary source of progression. Clearing stages will unlock features and game modes such as Timeworn Mausoleum and Tomb of the Fallen. This also increases your Moonlight Faith level, and provides resources like Pure Blood Essences, Soli , and Divine Blood Drop
For information on how many resources you can get per level, you can check this spreadsheet that includes that and a lot more information.
How do I level up my Moonlight Faith?
Every five stages cleared in the Threads of Fate! This boosts passive resource income. Prioritize pushing Threads of fate to at least Chapter 4 to unlock key features like the Castle, Moonlight Tribute, Transfusion, etc.
Idle resources accumulate over time up to 12 hours. Also note that the timer on resource boxes (e.g., 1H, 12H) indicates how many hours’ worth of resources you’ll gain, not an expiration date. Open boxes strategically to maximize gains. You can also use the Sermon function to receive 2H worth of resources with the cost of Blood Tear.
Complete the Observatory (unlocks after chapter 3-3)

The Observatory offers upgrades where you consume Soli , these upgrades increase resource gain from different contents and add improvements to features that can help you progress further in the game.
Prioritize these upgrades early!
They’re a quick way to increase resources, but be aware they cost a lot of Soli to finish all the upgrades.
Building Your Lineup
Your team of five Vassals is the core of your gameplay. Here’s how to assemble and optimize your team.
Moon Phases, Vassal Classes and Damage Types
Each Vassal has different moon phases (New Moon, Crescent Moon and Full Moon) activating all 3 Moon Phases will make your team enter Blood Moon.
While Blood Moon is active, Ultimate Bloodsoul Cost is reduced by 1 and all your units deal 25% more damage.
Vassal Classes: Each Vassal has a damage type (Magical or Physical), a faction and a class:
- Warrior: Has strong survivability and DPS. Performing well in varying scenarios. Good examples are Hati [Transcendent] and
Darcias .![Darcias]()
- Marksman: Deals consistent, strong DMG to a single target or targets in a small area. Good examples are Aiona [Timeless] and
Van Helsing.![Van Helsing]()
- Enchanter: Each possesses distinctive abilities (Heal, Buffs, Control), offering various benefits to the team. Good examples are Acappella and
Bella [Fleeting].![Bella [Fleeting]]()
- Defender: Reliable survivability and protection skills. Good examples are Friedrich and
Bella.![Bella]()
- Assassin: Adept at breaking through or avoiding the frontline, directly striking the weaker middle and backline enemies. Good examples are Stella and
Lorelei.![Lorelei]()
- Sorcerer: Versatile units with adaptive attack styles that destroy enemies. Good examples are Lamia and
Cecia.![Cecia]()
Team Composition Tips
Early Game you can run one Healer, one Defender and three DPSes. Something like this should carry you early on without any issues.
Moon Phase synergy is important
Ensure your team has a New Moon, Crescent Moon, and Full Moon Vassals to activate Blood Moon.
Altar of Invocation

After 40 pulls in the standard banner, you unlock the Altar of Invocation (wishlist) to select five SSR Vassals per Faction (Kingdom, Church, Bloodborn) to increase their drop rates.
If you decide to go with waifu / husbandos we have nothing to say, go for it! If you want to know what Vassals are meta on each faction, check our Altar recommendations guide.
Artifacts

What are Artifacts?
Artifacts are special items you can equip on your characters that provide them with additional stats and new passives.
How to obtain Artifacts?
Artifacts can be obtained from the Dutchman's Revenge mode. It's a puzzle-like mode where you have to reach the treasure within a set number of turns while avoiding the guards. Additional stages in this mode unlock based on your progress in the main Story.
Which Artifacts should I focus on first?
Upgrading Artifacts takes quite a lot of time, so it's better to plan ahead on which you spend your Guild Currency on. Here's the order we suggest to focus on:
- orEye of Truth
to level 5,Silvershadow Chronometer![Silvershadow Chronometer]()
- Eye of Truth is the go-to artifact for a lot DPS characters while Silvershadow Chronometer is commonly used in PVP to quickly gain Bloodsoul and use your team's Ultimates before the enemy (but it needs to be level 5 for the second passive to work),
- orEye of Truth
to level 5 - pick the one you didn't choose in previous point,Silvershadow Chronometer![Silvershadow Chronometer]()
- Cage of the Invisible Nightingale

Resource Management
Resources are critical for progression, but they become more and more scarce as you advance. Key Resources:
- Pure Blood Essence: Used to level up Vassals.
- Soli: Used for leveling Vassals and building upgrades in the Observatory.
- Divine Blood Drops: Used for levelling every 20 Levels, will be always used upon reaching Evolution LVL 200+.
- Moon Tear: Premium currency for gacha pulls or used for Extra Sermon in Moonlit Tribute.
- Skill Upgrade Materials: Use sparingly, as they’re non-refundable unless there is a skill reset event going on.
Outside resources there are also a few important game modes you should be doing daily in order to properly progress your account, including:
- Campaign Stages: Clear stages for direct rewards and to boost Outpost level.
- Timeworn Mausoleum: Daily Roguelike mode for Pureblood Essences and Skill Upgrade Materials.
- Tomb of the Fallen: Fight bosses for equipment. Early losses still yield rewards, so do them daily.
- Quests and Events: Complete daily, weekly, and event missions for extra resources.
Combat Tips for PVE
Combat Mechanics
Silver and Blood requires both strategy and good teambuilding, especially in manual play. When should you be using manual vs auto play?
- Manual Play: Strategical Ultimate timings like heals, disrupts and Bloodsoul conservation which will be essential for stages with high BP deficits or specific objectives.
- Auto Play: Good for farming easy stages but less effective in tough battles. Use it when your BP exceeds the stage requirement.
Campaign Modes

- Slay: Clear waves of enemies, or simply killing the boss.
- Survive: Survive the stage within a Time-limit.
- Protect: Prevent enemies from killing a friendly target.
Battle Power (BP) Management
BP is a measure of your squad’s strength. Stages list a recommended BP; falling below it (BP deficit) reduces your stats, making battles harder.
Stay within 20-15% of the recommended BP!
This avoids heavy penalties to your stats and makes progressing easier. Upgrade your core team to boost your BP.
If you are curious about how much penalty each stage has based on your team composition and BP, you can check this BP Deficit Calculator.
Ultimate Timings
Use your ultimates strategically. For example, save Starry-Eyed Aiona ’s Ultimate to avoid deadly attacks or use Dalcarlo ’s Ultimate to interrupt certain enemies that are charging their skills.
Activate Blood Moon by triggering New Moon, Crescent Moon, and Full Moon which increases damage by 25% for 10 sec.
Affinity with Vassals

You can gift items to Vassals at the Invitation (Can be accessed via Vassal Page) to raise Affinity ranks.
There’s also the Council Chamber, where you can select 5 Vassal as attendees to participate in a meeting, giving you different agendas everyday and affinity for the Vassals that participate.
Affinity gained can be determined whether you are in support, neutral or in opposition of the agenda.
What’s the max affinity level?
Regular SSRs with Limit Break 2 can go up to Affinity Rank 30, while Ancestry SSRs with Max Limit Break can reach up to Affinity Rank 40.
Prioritize Affinity with your core team to maximize combat effectiveness as they increase stats and BP.
Last Tips for a Good Start
- Spreading Resources Thin: Don’t level too many Vassals early. Focus on your top five as you will unlock Transfusion system later on.
- Collect idle resources daily (every 12 Hours) and upgrade your Observatory to maximize income.
- Avoid upgrading non-essential skills since those materials are pretty hard to farm early on.
- Don’t tackle stages with a high BP deficit unless your team is optimized.
- Events offer exclusive rewards and resources. Participate in them and ALWAYS BUY the extra stage entry attempts for Nightmare Mode to have a smoother progression.
