Introduction

Arcana is a SSR rarity Burst
2
character from the Supporter class, who wields a Rocket Launcher
Rocket Launcher
weapon and belongs to the Electric
Electric
element. She's part of the Elysion
Elysion
faction.

She is an extrovert through and through, with a friendly personality that makes her able to get along with just about anyone. She also runs a small tarot shop as a side business. Her proclivity for eccentricity is channeled into her unique interpretations of tarot cards, which she then uses to tease others (mostly the Commander). Her readings tend to be surprisingly accurate, so her shop was quite successful.

Review

Arcana has a dedicated review/guide available. You can find it by following the link below.

Pros & Cons
Pros

  • Provides insane ATK buff and Attack Damage (for Isabel only).

  • Most potent unit buffer to ever be released (even if it’s for one unit).

  • Provides a small amount of ATK, Damage Taken, and Attack Damage for all allies as well.

  • Activates 5s Full Burst units, like Isabel or Vesti, due to CDR when she bursts alongside them.

  • If you look at her and are not pulling, look closer!

  • Her event is so heartwarming; read it.

  • “I’m a fan” ~ Gatrix.

  • “Hot” ~ Snake

  • “UwU” ~ Kisenix

Cons

  • There is no place for her if you don’t own Isabel. No point in running Arcana since we have many good B2 already.

  • Even if you own Isabel, investment in Isabel is required to unlock Arcana’s potential.

  • 40s B2 forces us to run another B2.

  • Mostly an Electric-raid unit. Outside of Electric-weak bosses, she does not have use.

  • Most of Arcana’s all-unit buffs can only be made use of properly by units who have a strong nuke/burst damage at the start of their burst.

  • Too costly for a one-dimensional, one-element only use-case unit. At least Trina and Scarlet both are god mode in PvP.

Investment Tips

Skill Investment

Here's the explanation for all the numbers and colors used in the guide:

  • 10/5/7 means upgrading Skill 1 to lvl 10, Skill 2 to lvl 5, and Burst Skill to lvl 7,
  • Yellow means the immediate investment when u get the unit. There are 3 reasons for this:
    • If the unit is Meta or High Priority, it will have a starting investment of more than 1/1/1 (such as 4/4/4) depending on what the unit provides.
    • If the unit is Medium or Low Priority, 1/1/1 will be mentioned, meaning no immediate investment is required, and you can invest in this character if you need to use it according to the priority listed.
    • If we deem that a unit does not have usable skills to be meta for any gamemode, no investment will be mentioned.
  • Blue means minimum investment to take advantage of the Nikke's skills. There are 2 reasons for this:
    • Sometimes, minimum investments are breakpoints such as for Noir or SAnis.
    • Sometimes, minimum investments are just the ideal way to progress to upgrade that unit, before moving on to Recommended and High.
  • Red means recommended investment for F2P players,
  • Purple means maximum recommended investment, in order to get the best out of the unit. You should only try to reach these investments if you have a surplus of Skill Books leftover.

More info:

  • The skill investment list below features a lot of Level 4 and 7 because they are easier to understand. Any higher levels will cost a new type of resource.
  • However, you may choose to upgrade to Level 5 if you need a stronger effect instead of 4, as the increase in Blue Manual cost from Level 4 to 5 is still low. The leap only starts from Level 6 onward.
  • There is also a leap from Level 3 to 4, so if you want to save a tiny bit of Blue Manuals, then leave at 3 instead of 4.
Gear Investment

This Overload (OL) Recommendations and Priority guide unravels in detail everything you need about a character in terms of priority, overload targets (effects), and order of acquisition, alongside some notes to explain our thinking process.

For OL targets and order of acquisition, we decided to divide the target effects into several categories.

  • Essential: With all gear combined, your unit must have the roll(s) prescribed as a minimum requirement. Example: Charge Speed on Alice. You cannot compromise on these rolls.
  • Ideal: These rolls will improve your unit's performance significantly. Aim for 2 lines of Essential/Ideal per gear for maximum performance and the best Return on Investment (ROI). If you get 3, you are lucky. You can choose to only have 1 as well to save materials. Example: Elemental Damage on Scarlet.
  • Passable: Low-priority line that has either limited value or the impact is not as strong as other rolls. Should this show up as a bonus together with a better line, you can choose to keep them. Example: Charge Speed on Red Hood.

Overload effects are ordered by importance from Left to Right, which means anything on the left provides more value than the right. Effects that belong to the same group generate too similar an impact to make a difference (and are sometimes interchangeable). Try to follow this order as faithfully as possible for maximum mileage.

Additional tips:

  • Priority (PvE/PvP) isn't necessarily lower than Priority (Universal), which has no tag/label. It just indicates that this unit performs only in select types of content.
  • If a suggested effect has the number ×2 next to it, that means you should get the effect on at least 2 gear. The same idea applies to other numbers.
  • Focus on obtaining Essential(s) then you can start worrying about optimizing your rolls. Units require these to function, and the impact is too massive to ignore.
  • If a unit has no Essential(s), that means their performance is not that dependent on OL, but they can still benefit from good effects.
  • Remember that this is just a recommendation list, and attaining perfection is impossible. You will have to make some compromise, pick whichever rolls you desire the most, and conserve as much material as possible.
Cube Investment
PVE
  • Resilience Cube

    Resilience Cube

  • Bastion Cube

    Bastion Cube

  • Wingman Cube

    Quantum Cube

  • Wingman Cube

    Wingman Cube

PVP
  • Relic Tempering Cube

    Tempering Cube

  • Wingman Cube

    Vigor Cube

  • Wingman Cube

    Quantum Cube

  • Adjutant Cube

    Adjutant Cube

As always, Resilience or Bastion in PvE for more rockets shot, which help with burst generation. Tempering may situationally be useful in healerless runs. Quantum may be useful for extra burst gen (we have noticed that this extra squeeze can be extremely helpful).

Isabel Operates a Shotgun, Remember?

Mode: Union / Solo Raids || Element: Electric

Characters
Isabel
Tove
Arcana
Drake (Treasure)
Dolla
About the team

Isabel operates a Shotgun, so by law we are obliged to introduce this team. Tove increases Isabel's ATK and ATK SPD and supplies her with Max Ammo, allowing her to shoot more and harder. Dolla also grants small offensive buffs, but most importantly she is here for CDR. DrakeTr provides ATK buff to Isabel and herself.
If you have ever thought about it, do NOT use BSoda here. We have also asked people to try with Leona and MastM instead of Dolla, and both reduce the team's damage against Electric-weak monsters at least.
Unlike the other two teams featured in this guide, this team lacks healing, which can be a problem in some Raids.

Substitutions

Dolla can be replaced with Helm: Aqua Marine or Leona.

Isabel and Scarlet Befriend Each Other

Mode: Union / Solo Raids || Element: Electric

Characters
Isabel
Arcana
Liter
Scarlet
Trina
About the team

A bossing team that matches 2 niche units with 2 other niche units. Does not steal DPS/supports from other already established teams. Scarlet benefits from Trina's skills and Arcana's lingering buffs, and Trina helps with burst gen and survivability. Liter is the best B1 CDR here, although she can be replaced by anyone, including Volume.
Do note that this team is unideal for Trina + Scarlet. This is because Trina's Burst Skill is needed to activate her broken S2 effects. Sacrificing it every other rotation for Arcana's will reduce Scarlet's auto-attack damage measurably.

Substitutions

Liter can be replaced with Volume.

Isabel Goes on Vacation With Cinderella

Mode: Union / Solo Raids || Element: Electric

Characters
Arcana
Blanc
Isabel
Rouge
Cinderella
About the team

A bossing team that revolves around Cinderella benefitting from Arcana's lingering buffs and quicker rotations. This team features 9-burst Cinderella accompanied by Rouge's, Arcana's, and Blanc's buffs/debuffs and healing. Blanc's Damage Taken scales well with Arcana + Isabel's already inflated ATK + ATK DMG. To carry this team to its greatest, learn how to manual Rouge for fast burst gen, which involves pre-reloading and pre-charging and a bunch of Max Ammo.
Rouge also requires heavy manual gameplay in timing her CDR so that it triggers within Isabel's short 5s Full Burst. You will have to count, stop releasing Full Charge(s) before Full Burst, and make sure to land the 8th Full Charge only after Full Burst begins. Rouge's CDR has a small animation near her when triggered—pay a close attention! If this is not your fancy, avoid using this team
