Epiphany cards are special evolutions for the cards you can obtain while playing the roguelike mode. Only some cards in the character's deck can get Epiphany effects. Since there's quite a lot of them, we don't display them by default - press the button below to show them. There are also Divine variants of Epiphany cards, but we're still working on gathering them.

ST Damage [3/5]
AoE Damage [3/5]
AP Efficiency [3/5]
Utility [3/5]
Selena can pursue many playstyles thanks to how transformative her Epiphanies are, but primarily revolves around applying Mark to perform lots of Additional Attacks and breaking the enemy with Tenacity Damage and Passion Weakness to trigger Break effects. Her high attack frequency makes her scale well with Morale and other damage buffs, and Mark’s Attack card requirement incentivizes running her with attack spam characters.
Depletes Tenacity Gauges quickly with direct Tenacity Damage and Passion Weakness.
Very consistent Mark application for steady Additional Attack damage
Works well with other Passion characters with her Passion Weakness application (as well as Combo effects in her Epiphanies)
Capable single-target potential with some solid AoE options.
Has many transformative Epiphanies that change cards, entirely opening new playstyles.
Most damage comes from Mark, which requires playing lots of Attack cards to trigger, limiting her team options.
Backloaded Mark damage can be wasted when an enemy dies with untriggered stacks.
The ratings below are based on the Basin of Hyperspace Dimensional Twilight game mode and the Chaos Manifestation mode. Each of the modes values different mechanics, so some characters may shine in one of the, while being underwhelming in the other.
Dimensional Twilight
Chaos Mode
Final Shot
Ego Skill
Show Effects
Costs 5 EP, deals a strong amount of single-target damage, and most importantly, immediately applies 3 Mark. Should be used as early as possible on the primary target to prevent mark waste and to allow Selena to begin her Mark fuelled rapid fire assault.
Engagement Fire
Selena’s basic attack is normal, but gains the ability to deal Piercing Damage and a significant damage enhancement from Potentials. In addition to this, Engagement Fire is also a perfectly suitable and accessible tool for triggering marks.
Emergency Shielding
Show Effects
Selena’s basic shield is completely standard and doesn't have any extra synergy with her kit.
High-Power Scope
Show Effects
One of Selena’s core Mark sources, which costs 1AP and applies 2 Mark to a target on use. Not overwhelmingly powerful at a baseline, but can be significantly improved via Epiphanies.
Target Spotted
Show Effects
Selena’s other primary Mark generator, which functions very differently. Generates 1 Mark on 1 random enemy via its Response effect when drawn. Outside of this costs 1AP to use and deals a solid amount of damage, but nothing else. A solid card, as it doesn’t HAVE to be used in order to gain value while still being there as a hit to activate marks if Selena needs
Drone Bombing
Show Effects
Deals AoE damage to all targets and applies Passion Weakness for 1 turn, guaranteeing this turn's hits will deal tenacity and direct damage as though the enemy were weak to Passion. Synergizes well with Selena’s goal of breaking enemies while also adding a dash of AoE to her kit.
Tactical Maneuver
Show Effects
Grants a larger-than-average shield and deals 2 Tenacity damage to a target of your choice immediately. Great for locking in breaks on enemies while also offering some defensive benefits.
Sniper's Domain
[Unique]
Show Effects
Selena’s only upgrade baseline cost 0AP, is unique, and boosts Mark damage by +40%. A simple, strong damage multiplier for one of the largest portions of Selena’s damage.
Selena’s Signature Potentials offer significant damage boosts as well as some additional functionality, making them a high priority to unlock.
Selena is a mix of two playstyles: Additional Attacks via Mark and Break through her tenacity damage and Passion Weakness. You may choose to specialize in one more heavily than the other, but regardless of which you choose, Selena’s game plan remains the same. Establish buffs and marks, then trigger as many additional attacks as possible either through her own attacks or her teammates to unleash a barrage of high damage gunfire.

Gear
The Memory Fragments & Equipment suggestions below are based on calculations we did. If you want to check the damage formula and how scaling the damage works in CZN, check this guide.
Selena can be played more supportive, utilizing shields through her base kit and Epiphanies or more damage focused, leaning more heavily into coordinated attacks and Mark application. We’re addressing the more damage-focused Selena builds in this guide.
[2-PC]: +25% Critical Damage.
[2-PC]: +12% Attack.
[4-PC]: When Upgrade Cards are used, increase Damage Amount of the next 5 Passion Cards used by 20%.
[2-PC]: +25% Critical Damage.
Selena has a lot of base damage boosts for her Marks but no easy access to multiplicative DMG% boosts, making 4P Spark of Passion a solid choice if you can’t manage to get Agony on the enemy consistently or find much value in Seth’s Scarab. Keep in mind that after five attacks, the boost from this set will be gone, as Selena only has one upgrade to use. Combine it with 2P Executioner’s.
Executioner's Tool [2-PC]
Black Wing [2-PC]
Cursed Corpse [2-PC]
Seth's Scarab [2-PC]
Spark of Passion [4-PC]
In a lot of cases, flat sub-stats are better than percentage ones when it comes to HP, ATK and DEF. The reason behind this is that in CZN the characters stats are pretty low and you get more value from flat bonus rather than percentage one based on calcs.
Extra DMG% > Crit Rate% = Crit DMG% > ATK > ATK%
Our best Partner recommendation try to balance both the raw damage boost they provide based on our calculations with the additional utility provided by the skill - combined with how it interacts with the characters's kit. We have rated each partner based on how much additional damage and the utility they provide. Read the comments under each Partner to better understand our reasoning.

In the Zero System, it’s incredibly easy to access all items acquirable via the shop thanks to the five free refreshes you get each shop node - that's why the recommendations below are limited to them only. ATTENTION! Area-specific items can sometimes be more powerful than shop items, but are far less consistent to get or require running a specific world or giving up certain event options. Use the shop list as a starting point for building up your deck saves.
Deck & Teams
Important!
CZN is a game of randomness; sometimes you’ll be offered generic or Divine epiphanies that are stronger than a character's standard five options. In these cases, breaking the listed build can result in an even more powerful save. Adjust as you see fit!
There is no definitive choice when it comes to choosing which Sub DPS / Support Selena card to dupe in the deck.
Many of Selena’s Epiphanies completely change the original card's meaning, using an alternative one can change how your build works as well. If you want something else for Selena, check out other variants to see which suits your style best.
Important!
If you’re losing runs when playing a damage-focused composition either to sanity or dying, consider using a team with more defensive characters - so including both a shielder and healer. This is especially important in the Zero System mode.

The combo of Executioner’s and Black Wing is, in most cases, Selena’s best set combo, assuming you can get some value from either2P
Cursed Corpse [2-PC]
Seth's Scarab [2-PC]
